Lexington, Ky., February 21, 2023 – Big Ass Fans gives local students from Leestown Middle School pre-engineering program and RISE STEM academy for girls the chance to see the only HVLS Research & Design lab in the world as part of its inaugural Engineering Week celebration.
As part of Big Ass Fans’ mission to create safer, healthier, and more productive environments worldwide, the fans manufacturer is dedicating their Engineering Week celebration to welcoming the future engineers and leaders of the STEM community to experience the company’s research and development facility and witness their engineers and testing in action. The facility covers 44,000 square feet and plays home to the only HVLS fan testing facility in the world.
Students from Leestown Middle School pre-engineering program and RISE STEM academy for girls will be coming to the lab to see first hand the testing that goes into creating safe, healthy and productive environments. Visitors will gain insight into how Big Ass Fans’ products are created to ensure safety, health, comfort, and energy savings for homes, workspaces, and other environments all over the world.
During the visit, students will be able to:
- See the research and design lab in action and the testing done on various Big Ass Fans products
- Talk to Big Ass Fans engineers, who will explain the process of creating a fan from concept to design
- Learn more about the Big Ass Fans brand and its mission to create safer, healthier, more productive environments worldwide
